GILA HERMAN, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Gila Herman is a board certified psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Emory University. Having worked in multiple settings including inpatient care, partial hospitalization programs and outpatient programs, Gila’s experience extends across children, adolescents and adults. She has worked with a variety of conditions with a focus on mood disorders, anxiety, trauma and eating disorders.

Gila takes a holistic approach to treatment and works with her clients as their partner in health. She is a non judgmental listener that takes time to understand their experiences, perspectives and unique goals.  A lifetime learner, Gila makes efforts to stay up to date on best practices and provides client-centered evidence-based care. She believes in a collaborative approach to healthcare and enjoys working as part of a team on her clients’ paths to wellness.
