JANELLE McGLAMERY, MA, LMFT

Janelle McGlamery is a licensed marriage and family therapist with a long history of working in a variety of settings with children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She believes therapy should be approachable, collaborative, and even enjoyable. Janelle excels at identifying problem areas and collaborating with clients on their path to growth and change, while also recognizing and building upon the strengths and values they already possess. She employs an eclectic therapeutic style, drawing on evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). She is a strong advocate for community healing and frequently utilizes multidisciplinary resources to support her clients.

Janelle has experience in in-home therapy, long-term addiction treatment centers, and outpatient therapy settings. She has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. Janelle is deeply committed to helping people look deeply at their challenges and find answers to life’s toughest problems. She is grateful for the opportunity to accompany individuals on their therapeutic journey toward healing, understanding, and change.

Janelle has experience as a Child Life Specialist in a hospital setting, where she supported children and families in coping with medical treatments through play therapy and educational interventions. She also dedicated many years to working in non-profit summer camps and recreational settings, assisting individuals with disabilities and various medical conditions. During her time in Minnesota, she began her career as a marriage and family therapist.
