DESCRIPTION
Show up, be seen, and live a braver life in your body! The Daring Way™ method will be translated into a series of body image group sessions that provides a safe nurturing environment for women to express themselves creatively and authentically, while learning to develop a new inner voice and move towards self-acceptance. The group is a 8-10 week creative process psychoeducational group with weekly activities that are focused around body image.  The groups will cover topics such as:-Understanding the core issues of body image-Address media and societal impact on beauty-Learn shame resilience using the The Daring Way™ method -Develop self-compassion and self-acceptance-Cultivating authenticity-Coping skills to combat negative body image thoughts/feelings Practicing mindfulness

YOGA & MEDITATION

PRESENTER
Hannah Hawkins-Esther RYT 200, LCSW

DESCRIPTION
Yoga is more than simply exercise. It is an integrative practice that not only builds physical strength and balance but also emotional, mental, and spiritual strength and balance. This class will offer varied approaches. In some, we will bring focused attention to breath and body as we move through postures and end with a short sitting meditation. Other times yin yoga, (stretching postures which are held for a longer time) will be offered as a moving meditation. Consider this an opportunity to learn or practice, find ease and bring a pleasant end to the day.This class is designed for all levels and is both trauma and recovery informed. All are welcome.

Mondays 7:30-8:40 starting November 6th through December
All are welcome. Please bring your own mat, we do have a few available to share.

COST/FEE
10.00 cash or check only. Limit 15 participants.
