JENNY ROMANO, LPC, NCC
Jenny Romano is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) in the state of Georgia and a graduate of Richmont Graduate University with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to working in private practice, she worked with children, teens, and young adults receiving treatment for eating disorders and trauma at higher levels of care including inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization.
Jenny now specializes in therapy for eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and general concerns about one’s relationship with food and/or body. She also works with women’s issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and grief. Jenny enjoys working with adolescents, college students, and adults as they navigate their unique challenges.
Jenny utilizes therapeutic modalities such as internal family systems (IFS), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and attachment theory. As a therapist, she cultivates an environment of warmth, compassion, and curiosity in her time with clients. Jenny desires to provide a safe place of presence and empathy as one's stories are shared and processed. Jenny sees therapy as a space to experience groundedness, grow a deeper understanding of self, and gain the tools necessary to live a connected and meaningful life.
